I am thinking of installing a back up beeper on most of the longer cars and vans. Does anyone know of a system that is easy to install.

I'd go one further.
After a $1400 accident, I went ahead and installed the $300 back-up camera that would have prevented it. I suppose the beepers are a good idea too, so the idiots walking behind the car while you are trying to back up have a sporting chance. |

I have gone to Radio Shack and picked up a 12volt buzzer, attached it to the backup wires inside the tail light and just left the buzzer in the taillight. Works good. Be sure to get an alternating sound type buzzer, not the steady sounding one.

Most of them are easy to install, they just use the existing back-up light wires for power. The hardest part will be deciding where to mount the unit.
