In May 2007, I booked "NY Grand Hyatt hotel to NY JFK airport” transportation for my boss with this Nationwide Limousine online. The credit card was being charged immediately but the driver did not show up at Grand Hyatt for the pick-up. I made a complaint at a later date. The customer service guy Simon apologized and said that the driver mistaken about the time. He also promised that a credit would be arranged. However, after three months, there is no refund arranged and this Simon or this Nationawide Limousine company did not respond to my email anymore.
So, if you go to US again, please remember NOT to use this Nationwide Limousine. Here is the website. http://www.nationwidelimo.us/ |

The lowest price generally leads to this situation.

I can only hope that you used an AMEX card. I can tell you in one phone call, the amount will be immediately credited to your account. They will then begin an investigation. If Nationwide does not reply within a short period of time with their side of the story, the credit becomes permanent. If they do respond, AMEX will decide in favor of one or the other.
As for the NLA or BBB, don't waste your time. Neither has regulatory power. No one cares about the BBB anymore in a California survey done last year. Baby boomers don't shop the way our parents do and rarely call the BBB for an opinion before making a purchase. |

Nationwide is not a member of NLA and they could not do anything. I request them to put this on file anyway.
Better Business Bureau....NO reply at all after these weeks. |

I didn't find any Nationwide on the NYCTLC base listing. I think this may be a limo broker.
Rule #1, always make your reservation directly with the provider & not some broker. Rule #2, always obtain printed confirmation of the reservation. I noticed blame was put on the driver. I don't buy it, the blame goes to the one who placed the order in the driver's hand. I hate to say it but the Better Business Bureau can do nothing. They are a business rating company and although sometimes they will write letters or make phone calls in your behalf, they have no power to make anybody do anything. I would call your credit card company and protest the charges.

As a general rule, the Better Business Beureau can only police BBB members/subscribers. Your best bet would be to contact the company's home state Attorney General's Office. They will have a consumer fraud protection unit that will be able to take care of your complaint. Since the company's phone # is area code 212, I would expect their office is located in NY.

I did file my complaint to Better Business Bureau today. Even I might not be able to get my money back, I need to warn others about this "no service" Nationwide Limo.

Call CC company and do the chargeback. You can also make complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
Mistakes happen. Next time use a different company. |

If you paid for service, and didnt receive it at all, and you havnt got a refund. Call your credit card company and tell them, and they will refund you the money and take the money from the limo provider.
