I'm seeing more and more of these converted fire engines on the road too. We have one as well, and its proving very popular with the hen night runs. We give them the option of buying some toy fireman's hats as an extra touch to their limo ride!!

I tell ya it may be the future. On St. Pattys day I was heading up La Cienega in LA and saw this big truck coming towards me. Turns out it was a army personell carrier with 6 big wheels and a large bed with a little canvas cover. Must have been about 20 people in the back of it sitting on benches around the perimeter. They must have been around 10 feet in the air!! One down fall no one can Valet that sucker!
It looked similar to this but with just a flat rear bed:

Marcus,
Unfortunately, We are not allowed to use the sirens or blue lights (Blues 'n' Twos) whilst on a public road. If we were, i'd never need worry about getting to a job on time. Regards, Shaun |

Do have to pay a surcharge for the sirens to blare and the horn to blast?

Chauffeur driven fire engine limousine. Suitable for hen nights, stag nights, children’s parties a speciality. Hosted and driven by two uniformed fire crew. Be the envy of all your friends and turn up to that special event in a real "London’s Burning" fire engine.
So, if you want a ride with a difference? Have chauffeur driven transport to really turn heads on your hen night or stag night. Book the Fireman’s Lift and experience a fire engine limousine! This is definitely the way to get noticed. On the other hand, why not hire the fire engine if you want some alternative transport to get you noticed and to the church on time? The engine comes with ribbons and bows and will have a complimentary bottle of bubbly for the bride and groom. Regards, Shaun |

hi number 3,we want a fire engine to party in,there are a few companies that hire them out with a driver ofcourse and its done up inside with the mini bar and music, just like a limo but what better way to be noticed on that special occasion than riding in a fire engine with the music up and getting drunk with your mates.you all have to wear the fire hats and you get whistles too.thanks for your reply davidit is a great way to make money for fund raising or as a business. the only thing is the insurance is expensive so you have to have the money to put into it at first(easily made back) but youd make it all back,we have been quoted £170 to get one for only an hour so imagine how much money youd make all the hours that you could work. And also as me and my friends were saying,we always go in limos so its nothing new,it should be a great laugh. They are hired out for kids parties, weddings, hen nights, stag nights the lot,its the latest craze, they have them in england and in glasgow, but not in edinburgh yet,but the man is going to come to edinburgh for my friends 21st for a wee bit extra cash, you should start that up david, excellent idea. thankyou all for your replies. kerry |

Sounds like a great idea. People hire Military vehicles for weddings why not a first respondewr vehicle. I am a member of a volunteer fire that is one of the few privatly owned fire fighting companies in the U.S. I will pass this idea on to my Chief. Sounds like a great Fund raising idea. I have kicked around the idea of a Bradley of an LAV as a wedding Limo. The problem is my check book is not up to my idea book.
