For those of you that havn't read this yet. I basically came on here begging and pleading for advice and help and maybe for sombody to call the owner Rick from Great Lakes Limos and help me out and try to get my car done!

Today I got a message from Rick, normally he won't return my calls, but today he called me to say that - if I'm telling people on internet he'll put me to the back of the line forever.

I Don't want this. I want to have my car done. I paid in full.

So I don't want to smear his name, even though all I did was ask for help on what to do. So hopefully he will work on my car.

Hopefully Rick will step up to the plate and get my car done by next Thursday! Then I can come on here and tell you what a wonderful company they are and they stepped up to the plate and got the job done.

So much bad publicity on this company, I give it one year tops. They'll be closing down their doors and opening under a new name VERY soon!

I have read all of the postings and unfortunately, none of what I am hearing surprises me. I have heard more than numerous horror stories regarding Great Lakes Limousine and let me tell you, none of what I have been told is anywhere near GREAT. In fact, it is definitely buyer beware! Stay away from this company completely if you do not want to have to deal with faulty body work, mechanical, electrical or interior problems, etc. The list goes on my friends, however there are just too many to mention. Several of my limousine colleagues have witnessed nothing but delays, shoddy work, leaks, cracks, broken glass, second hand materials being used, etc. Basically a rush job. In many cases the work is getting done incorrectly or not getting done at all. Maybe because of fictitious completion dates given. And the fact that the owners have shown up demanding their vehicles Lori, is because it seems they are put on the back burner and have no other choice. Have any of you actually visited GL's facilities??? It is a far cry from what one may envision. A facility in which I wouldn't send my worse enemy to. And this is why folks, I am warning all of you with great sincerity to stay away from not so Great Lakes Limousine! Please warn everyone you know in our field, to leave their future investments in the hands of real professionals and not some fly by night, not so businesslike, company that cannot keep their employees long enough to learn how to do their job. How do they expect to run a company when they cannot keep employees long enough to finish a vehicle properly and in a timely manner. It makes you wonder why there is such a great turnover in employment at GL. Who wants to get jerked around like this gentleman from Ohio? It sounds as though he has done all that he could do and handled himself in a way most people could not. When promised his investment within an allotted time, he was refused, ignored, lied to, threatened and thrown off the property in which his vehicle remained untouched and paid in full. The treatment in which he received is utterly incomprehensible. I am quite sure words cannot even begin to express his frustrations. I certainly can only imagine. I warn all of you to spread the word. These things that you are reading is a form of fraud on the part of this company you are posting and reading about. Just because they charge less, and we all know why now, does not entitle them to treat us in the manner in which they do or to use less than perfect materials and excellent craftsmanship in our limousines. I have seen far too many colleagues accept their limousines from this company with great disappointment and I can no longer stand back and watch it happen to another. This business is obviously in financial failure folks. Is it really broken glass or just another excuse? And the weather too bad for UPS or FEDEX to deliver parts? Please people dont make me laugh. I agree with the statement "robbing Peter to pay Paul". Thats not good business practices and I'm sure that they have to tell so many lies that it's hard for them to keep it all straight. And the fact that you are only talking to one person at a time is most likely because their excuses as to why your vehicle isn't done on time wouldn't match. How much time and money have you lost by having your vehicles in the hands of these people? The lower cost that they pride themselves on, does in no way make up for the loss that one incurs by having their vehicles with GL. So if you or anyone else has a vehicle with them, I would advise them to pull out quickly. I'm sure they have a contract with a date that has long since past, one would now probably assume void. There are many more reputable businesses out there who are willing to treat you with the respect that you deserve and not in a degrading manner such as this Rick and Terry seem to have become experts in. They appear to be experts in excuses, blaming, lying and deceiving. And from the people that I have spoken to who have witnessed the treatment of their employees, deplorable. Its no wonder there is such a huge turnover. If they treat their high paying clients, such as those you are reading about in this post the way they do, then I have to believe the treatment of the employees, that are building our limousines cannot be much greater. One can only speculate that this, among many other factors, is what is being reflected in their workmanship. You get what you pay for people. Or in the case of Great Lakes Limousine, you DONT get what you pay for.

I'm going to have to refund the whole run. Plus I now have to pay a mechanic to drive 2 hours out to where the car is and 2 hours back with a serpentine belt and put it on, along with pay the driver, and have a pissed off customer.

My guess is they took off the serpentine belt when they put the 2nd alternator on it, and put it on back wrong, or put the wrong one back on. Who knows. The base model car only has 25,000 miles on it. Imagine that the serpentine belt breaks 1st day back from Great Lakes. What a coincendence.

Other things like the radio kill switch up front with the driver turns off the vanity mirror lights. Yep thats right, the vanity mirror lights...

Only 8 A/C vents instead of the 12 we're supposted to get like all of our other cars.

It never ends...

Agree completely - don't just take it because it's "ready". It might be fine, but if it's not, you'll just be creating a whole load of stress and hassle, and will spend the next year asking "why did I take it in THAT condition!".

Go on and list it for sale. You won't want it. Hopefully you can get someone in saudi arabia to buy it.
