I am not sure if any of you are willing to share this info. But for any Los Angeles operators - how many limos.com leads per day do you average? I am only averaging 1 lead per day. (Granted - I do not have LAX service box checked on my account yet.) But can you tell me if 1 a day is all I can expect? This is pretty dissapointing.

Hi,
What do you exactly mean by LEADS? Do you run a limo rental service company? |

Luken watch out Karl Rove is peeking through your windows as we type. Those voices in your head are real! Just keep thinking Halliburton, Karl Rove, George Bush they are out to get you.

Hey Gunny... can you read? from the above quote: "But for any Los Angeles operators- how many limos.com leads per day do you average?" No mention of Florida... and this: "Let us not assassinate this lad further, Senator. You have done enough. Have you no sense of decency sir, at long last? Have you left no sense of decency?" Special Counsel for the Army Joseph N. Welch before the McCarthy hearings speaking to a redfaced, dead in the water Senator McCarthy. Have a nice day. |

Interesting that you dug up the old Bliss reviews from limos.com that aren't even posted anymore. Bliss disappeared when I quit and parted ways with the attorney who spent every dime I grossed. You should have posted my current reviews under my company name, and you can go cop the reviews that are piling up on the BBB site. Even at this late date and after frightening the children with your spooky stories of government Acts and skeery punishment should we in California not do as you say, even after insulting me and engaging in your typical name calling in a fruitless attempt to impeach me or piss me off, even after all your typical bullshit you've engaged in almost 3,000 posts, you STILL insist on putting in your little digs. I'm just some "driver" who "drives limos" who has "hijacked" this thread. Then of course you come across with this typical noble "last word from the voice of authority". Incredible. You wanna give Wolfe some advice? Then stop tossing your poo at everyone who dares question your AH-THOR-EH-TIE!.. stop accusing folks of hijacking when you are obviously the one who first begins the childish name calling. In short stop being a dick... Cheney. Any silly monkey can do a search to find reviews and such... its the mean spirited ones who pick and choose the results to continue the cheap shots, kinda like the White House picking and skewing the "intelligence" they're given to build their propaganda. Disgard the real positive information, misrepresent the stuff you choose to back up that one, last cheap shot. You are as transparent as they come sir. That tagline you are putting on your posts these days about rapists, felons, offenders and TERRORISTS is a prime example. Damn dude, do you work for the White House? This is textbook Karl Rove shit. Frighten the fools with tales of boogey men behind the wheel. I'm guessing the TERRORISTS have other things on their minds than driving tourists to the Super Bowl. Probably thinking how to drag us into a shooting war with Iran now... I mean the real terrorists in this country of course. Now back to Gunny with the weather report. Gunny? [I know you can't resist having the last AH-THOR-I-TIE word] |

Man, I'm really feeling the love.
First of all, Wolfe I hope you filtered through everything & found the answer you were looking for. Second, without a doubt, someone named Howard Luken who drives limos has made great impressions with customers. Even as a driver, he garnered some very nice reviews as a testament to his people skills: Bliss Limo Reviews So, with all this being said, hopefully the hijacking of this thread is over & if anyone has advice they'd like to offer Wolfe based on his concerns, please chime in. Let me give you fellows an example of what personal attacks online can do to a company when they are unfounded and complete bullshit. No apologies for the profanity, my clients and potential clients aren't children and this isn't a church. I welcome their reading my brilliant posts. I did a little search of the BBB website here in LA. Months ago some shut-in from Burbank sent a request through limos.com asking for a limousine from her house which is about 5 minutes to Burbank airport. She then stated her request was "just for fun." I responded she shouldn't waste companies' valuable time and 99 cents doing so. She responded with an email and phone call assault on me and then complained to the BBB. Their computer sent out form emails to me to which I responded with the facts. They kept sending these silly computer generated emails each time she responded. I heard nothing more until I found a "D" rating on my listing saying I had REFUSED TO GIVE HER A REFUND, for service I never provided mind you. I notified the BBB I would pursue legal action and they responded with an apology, removal of the notes and a "BB" rating. This woman's complaint never even was posted but they told me it had been deleted. I responded by notifying every client I had an email for to post to the BBB site. Several responded immediately Gawd bless 'em. More will follow. I emailed the BBB and said that the rating system was obviously arbitrary and whomever was using their computer that day could change it even if they were having a bad day. A "BB" rating is bullshit as is a "D" rating or an "AAA" rating. I demanded a "AAAAA" rating because there is nothing in their records to reflect any kind of rating. The growing and glowing reviews on the BBB site, just like the similar reviews on limos.com are proof enough of my business style. Long story short, when morons and angry folks post on the internet, usually attacking someone who simply is using a forum to pose questions for instance, it reflects on the attacker and not the attackee. One has to read the entire exchange and one soon sees it is not those of us who question authority but the defenders of the indefensible, the reg'lars, the bullies who are the first to start tossing their poo [being the stoopid monkeys that they are]. I for one like profanity. It gets the fuckin' message across. My clients appreciate that as well. Again, they aren't children. If ma and pa kettle are easily offended let them book elsewhere. Enough said. I tire of this exchange and shall go and eat my Brazilian cuisine I just had delivered. |

I will "were" it proudly. Here's a hint... spellcheck won't work on words that are similar like were and WEAR. Remedial English classes should be required in every southern State. Boy howdy! |

See, ain't it a hoot? For some reason our monkey species will always be a bunch of meek followers, easily bullied by the loudest monkey who skreeches and throws his poo the hardest. It is reflected on these silly forums and blogs now. Hours and hours wasted in tribes dominated for years by the grumpiest, meanest spirited monkeys while the others simply clam up or leave after having had a run-in with the king monkeys. I for one start out most civil and calm simply posing a question or thought on this forum. It is immediately attacked by the noisy monkeys with threats of love it or leave it [hardhats anyone?], mind your biznuss and stop "ranting" [when in fact the rants come from the peanut gallery], and ultimately with pinheaded name calling [ladies panties, pansy, etc...]. I note that the responses that were on this particular thread have been removed by said noisy monkeys... hmm, ain't that interesting? Guess they won't stand by their words like the men they claim to be. My words will remain until the guvamint shuts down all forms of speech and busily studies all our phone calls, emails and posts to decide whom to toss into the camps built by Brown and Root under Halliburton and FEMA. Yes dear readers, THOSE CAMPS DO EXIST HERE IN THIS COUNTRY. Google that poindexter! Badfelafel, name the beast. Don't be meek. His and his comrade's poo falls on everyone eventually. |

Wolfe, sorry if this a bit off topic, but the story relates to Lukens rant on the thread. The short story is I worked with a realtor who made his business by using online marketing exclusively. He once made a post that drew a similar response from another 'professional'. To this day when you do a Google search on the name of the person who ranted against my friend, his rude post against my friend comes up in the top search spot, his website comes up somewhere below the fold. I don't know Luken from Adam, but if I agree with Badfelafel. How many bookings will you get if a prospective customer comes across your beligerent, foul mouthed post when they search for your company? I suggest we all interact as though what you post on the web, ANYwhere on the web, is there forever and is overtly public. Read this a short document called 'The Long Tail' to understand why you really want to be sensitive to how you present yourself on the web. |

Just imagine if your clients stumbled upon your postings and got a flavour of what you'd be like to deal with when you don't like whats going on... they would run a mile and do business elsewhere! This isn't an isolated island, clients can see you in here, and how you react. They don't want to deal with somebody who knows it all, won't back down, distorts things etc! Not that I'm suggesting any of the postings in here involve anything but the utmost respect for the other posters! |

It amazes me how some participants of these forums claim themselves to be "professionals" and the language and profanities fly through their posts. Analyze yourself deep inside before you even open your mouth or move your fingers.
I am an small biz owner, and an strong believer that your communications skills determine what kind of a person you are. |

Anyone we farm to must provide proof of insurance and we must be named as an additional insured. Proof of chauffeur licensing must be provided and my Operations Manager inspects their vehicles if they are local. We farm quite a bit of business each calendar year.

Yes your right the PUC does have some sub categories for the types of vehicles in the fleets guess that could get messy. Wonder if there have been any enforcements against limousine companies yet for farm outs gone wrong? Please start a new topic if you get a response from the AG. |

Yes, because they go from a being a direct carrier or "provider" as defined under the act to a 3rd party travel arranger. In other words, what would be the difference between a bonafide travel agent arranging the transfer of say 20 people through a motor carrier and a limo operator doing the same? Also, as you're the answer man I rely upon for Ca laws, aren't there different licenses issued based on the type of vehicles being operated? So, if a limousine operator takes in reservations for vehicles he/she is not licensed for (either state or DOT if interstate), they also would not fall under the exemption.
