Last week I upgraded to EBC's after market sport rotors and performance brakes(EBC 3GD Sport Rotors and Ultra high friction brake pads). These brakes are specifically made for heavy trucks and stretched SUV limo's. You can contact their technical dept. at cartechnical@ebcbrakesuk.com for more info. My rotors needed replacing anyway, so it seemed like perfect timing to make the upgrade. So far I'm extremely happy. I"ll let you know later if they have longevity.
If you know anything about the Excursion limo's regular brakes, you'll know they're crap. I've seen abusive driver's go through stock rotors in a week. But the major reason you should switch(if they turn out to have longevity) is for safety reasons. If someone cuts off an Excursion limo and hits the brakes, odds are he's gonna get rear ended. So far I have to agree with the 20% claim that EBC makes. They definately have some bite. If you're changing rotors on your SUV limo, look into these. Tough times don't last. Tough people do. |

Dean, you're welcome. Greenpala, look into getting these. I'm pretty sure they make them for regular limo's also. I shouldn't have to say it, but I will. I have no relationship whatsoever with EBC brakes. I wish there was an American brand that had similar stuff. Tough times don't last. Tough people do. |

If you think Excursion brakes are bad - you dont know about Infinity QX56. 14K miles and a first brake change - rear and front are gone.
Before we purchased the car we know about the crapy brakes but hey - it comes with the job. |

My follow up opinion is these brakes are definately better. My buddy just put them on his stretched Hummer after my mechanic talked to him and he drove my Excursion.
