I have a call in to the attorney to see if any other payments have slipped in without them notifying me. They are supposed to be sending me a weekly report on any week in which funds came in but all has been quiet.

Tony, we appreciate that you set up the escrow situation with a law firm and volunteered to keep us up to date on progress toward the goal of $3,000. However, I followed your link for an update and found the latest information is nearly a month old. I hope some money (beyond our contribution) has been received. If this is going to work, we need to keep it in front of people and encourage our fellow operators to join in.

Fellow operators, this is a GREAT OPPORTUNITY for all of us, especially with some of the negative press we are seeing about limousine services tied to pushing drugs, abduction, etc. Let's get the money sent in so we can move this wonderful project FORWARD. We will all benefit when we work together.

I will post a weekly update on the same link on the size of the fund for any week that money is recieved.
Please note that the money is actually not coming to me, but rather to an attorney's office (one who is well known in the city and that I have used for 10+ years).

Such as "Got Milk", "California - it's the cheese" and "Beef - it's what's for dinner. The I asked the NLA to allow us to brand it by using the logo and making it more of a united looking industry with the logo. While the NLA will likely accept our first commercial and use it, they don't have to. We, as a grass roots group are funding and making the first commercial on our own. If the NLA likes it, they will most likely pickup the program and make more with Association funds. So by all means, join the group. It still does good for our industry.

Wade -

Dig deep man! I mean really deep. Seriously, it is all good. I would suggest $100, $500, or $1000 contribution based on the operator's size and financial situation today.

Dean - Can you see if Carey can/will make a contribution please. I will ask Sara and Linda for support. How about MTG? Anybody care to contact them?

Glad to see thie thing didn't just die all of a sudden as I thought had happened!

The link worked. My check and signed agreement are on their way. I encourage everyone to send a check and to talk to other operators about participating, too. This is a tremendous idea and a great opportunity for our industry.

Marc,

Thank you so much for your particpation and welcome to the group. Yuu are thinking exactly the way this all began with the thought of "Got Limos?" and now we are on our way to create an "image" for the world to see - NOT create an immediate influx of orders because someone saw the commercial and now there their itching to get in a limousine but more for "hey, we could get a limo for that or use a limousine service to make it a little more special". Dave, I do understand you are in a very unique situation and we all know it. You have it very rough with your very limited population. My rule of thumb for appearing at marketing/promtional events by partipation is limited to groups of 1000 or more as only 1% of any group will have a need for a limousine in the next 12 month period and for you, the whole town would have to come out to the event so I understand.

This is a great idea. I have run my own TV commercials and had good response, but they are not cheap. I would like to see either weddings or special events with stretch limousines (BLACK) promoted. These are our higher margin events and help passengers to think outside the box. Something like "Beef, it's what's for dinner."... "Stretch limousines, the way to make it a truly special event." Food for thought. I will be sending $100 from my two car rural Montana operation as soon as we get a name and address.
