Hi everyone.

Has anyone tried Limo Linx? I found this software at http://advantsolutions.ca/IT/LimoLinx.asp

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with it. It looks pretty easy to use, but I'm not sure if it can handle everything. Any thoughts?

Thanks

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for all your replies.

Right now, believe it or not, I am actually considering Limo Linx. I still don't know exactly what features you are referring to that it cannot do, but I'm demo-ing right now and so far it's pretty good at doing the important things, like logging reservations, settling, invoicing, receivables, payables, etc. A couple of small things, but I spoke to their support and they said they would work with us to resolve any of those small issues. So far I'm 95% sure I'm going with these guys. Bottom line is that it does what I want it to do and it is fairly easy to navigate (well I think so at least). But having said that, I'll still keep LimoAnywhere in mind in case something fundamental is missing with Limo Linx but so far I like it.

Thanks again.

galaxylimo, before you make a decision to buy anything else and Markee, before you guys decide to build a program yourselves... can we interest you in a free (no obligation) online demo?

We will just walk you through the entire system step by step and show you what's it is capable of. And if after the demo you (Markee) still don’t see all the features you are looking for, that will be the last time you'll hear from us.

In addition, galaxylimo, we work with many small operators and many startups. As Salicete said earlier, we are designed specifically for small to mid-size operators and currently work with over 1000 of them.

We have our own network called LA Net (Limo Anywhere Network) that allows you to find, communicate and exchange business (or just receive business) with other Limo Anywhere users/affiliates. I call it the "limo industry matchmaking service", because you can search profiles of other companies and establish affiliate relationships with them through the system. Currently we have about 1800 reservations change hands every month.

As for support, we presently have four techs doing nothing but support all day long during normal business hours and we have an after-hours emergency voice paging system. If you call during business hours, you will rarely be on hold for more than a few minutes until someone gets to your call. We also have an online ticketing system, support chat and a searchable knowledge base.

I did not mean for this to turn into a sales pitch... sorry.

For our customers: We will be launching our own Limo Anywhere blog later this month where we plan to announce some exciting news that will take place over the next six months.

Thanks,
Max @ Limo Anywhere

Wade is the man to ask about software. You might try sending him an email.

We also have some issues with how it presents information. I find myself lost a bit when looking at the up coming runs. This does not mean something is broken. I just find myself getting lost sometimes.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I'm a pretty small company so I need something simple that allows me to whip off invoices very easily. I don't have any complex business processes. But out of curiosity, what kind of features was it lacking? I may not need those features, but just wondering. Thanks again.

Limo Anywhere, period.

It is designed for small to medium sized companies, and is capable of doing your invioces, and a myriad of other functions as well.

I use it, and am very pleased with it.

With that said. We have found that it does not do everything we need. I feel though that I am personally very demanding and no software out there will do everything we want. So we are about to start building our own. It will also be web based.

For the price I think it's good. It's one of the less expensive choices out there that is not a service. You may do well going with a service though as they seem to be more robust with features. But then again. they will also cost more. Smile

I suggest starting with a system that you can expand and grow into. Nothing is worst than transfering data and account information and taking the change of lossing data.
We use LimoAnywhere, a web based system that you can start out basic and add all the way to online reservations. And they alway have upgrades that is making the system better. From the looks of Limo Linx, I don't think you will receive good support if need.
Try LimoAnywhere, I think you will be very happy with it.
