Reported on the local Fox affiliate that Houston Inspector(s) are shaking down limos for lunch money. Another City with micro-management Draconian Laws, either pay for the man's lunch or get hit with a citation.

It's A Shame That There Are Those Who Have Not Truely Experienced What It Is Like To Conduct Business Without Nazi Boot In The Throat Tactics As Employed In The Gulf States.

They only pick on the weak K.C. I don't think Houston is immune to the culture of corruption that is a way of life in the Gulf South.

Limo Drivers Accuse City Employee of Fraud Our chauffeurs really don’t have any problems. I guess you can say we keep everything legit. We even have extra Trip Sheets in our vehicles for last minute trips for the chauffeurs to fill up – Just to avoid any problems. I’m not siding on the city inspector side – but he knows the difference between the legit guys and the gypsies. He knows whom he can get money out of. If this Limo Driver “JOE” was paying the city inspector for “Lunch Money” to begin with, he was probably doing something wrong. He even admitted that he got several citations when the “Lunch Money” wasn’t paid. This is just a disgruntled gypsy. |

This off an email I received which in part reads:
"One thing to mention to you, that I was given a ticket on 6/15 @5:10 pm by the city inspector at the Four Seasons Hotel for not having a trip ticket to use the restroom. When I said that was such a ridiculous reason to give me a ticket for, he said that for me refusing to cooperate with him, he can call an HPD and then the fine can get bigger and bigger."
