I posted here last year sometime and could not log-in under my previous name.
But I was hoping to get some feedback on a site upgrade or re-design. I actually made the site myself and have run out of ideas. i realize the colors are a bit drab, but others seem to like it as is. What is your opinion ? and how can I change the grey on grey on grey ? http://www.prosedan.com/ Another question I had was ... has anyone optimized their site and was it worth it ? you can sink alot of money into an SEO and not see results for a year they say. I was wondering if anyone has had luck with an SEO ? Thanks in advance Dan |

Hey Dan, Just keep in mind two things if you decide to use a SEO. If they tell you they know exactly what the search engines want RUN! There is no way anyone can know the secret to getting their site ranked to number one. As the days go by the algorithms are constantly changing and it makes it harder for any SEO to get you to number one. I suggest if you are not going to go with a SEO to make sure you include a ton of content. Make your sites content sell and do not build your site with more than three tiers. Example: Your Home Page has a link to a page under it. That page then links back to either the home page or a tier 3 page. If you go any further it makes it harder for the spiders to go through your site. Hope this helps. Good luck! Leo LimoBizSuccess.com |

Hello again and thanks everyone for your suggestions,
I get your drift suggesting the company vehicle photos. But its kind of like this ... add money to a photo shoot or add money to online marketing (the site design I can do myself). The site has been sitting there for a while now with no real hits other than regional adwords or search marketing and a few regulars we have, but the actual sites page rank is nil. That is why I was wondering about an SEO/SEM, in some markets they can make a huge difference in revenue for years on end if you stay ahead of your search terms. The problem is they can cost anywhere from 5 to 30,000 per year for a good one but there is no real guarantee your market will catch. A good example of this is firstclasslimos.net which is a fully developed site (ranked very high on all SE's), but was the site SEO'd because of a local success or are they making it from the SEO itself ? Its a hard one for me to understand shelling out thousands without any sort of guarantee. Thx Dan |

Hi Dan, If I may make a few suggestions. Diggers suggestion is great, adding your own cars as the photos. You can also take it a step further to creat a more personal relationshiop with our potential buyers by adding a photo of you or your drivers to the site. Adding photos of the owner or employees adds a personal touch to the site. It helps create a relationshiop with your buyers. ********* You asked about colors and such. I think you did a great job creating the site on your own. It looks professional. I would worry more about your marketing message than colors. We all love to see our master piece once its created but remember colors will not sell your service over the next guy in Phoenix. Providing benefits rich content on your site of doing business with you over the competition in your area will increase your business more than the colors will. What I am saying is a site that is ugly will create more business over a site that looks the best as long as it has the ability to sell you over the competition. Your customers want to know "Whats in it for them." Imagine someone stumbling along your site and on the front page your headline reads... "Warning: Don't Even Think of Hiring A Limo Service In Phoenix Until You Get Your Free Special Report Called "The Ten Best Places To Visit While You Are In Phoenix"' (this is just an example as your headline would read differantly considering the niche you are pursuing.) ************** I hope that helps you some. Keep up the good work! Best of luck! Leo S. Leo LimoBizSuccess.com |

I'm just being curious here but why not use actual pictures of the car that you have? I take all of mine to nice places and take my own pictures, I feel that clients will feel better seeing the actual car that they will be getting.

I am a Mercedes whore, thats the only reason that I noticed it. I love the S-Class.
When I get so rich that I have to waste money instead of paying taxes, I am going to buy a fleet of S-Class sedans and limos and scab them out for about $65/hour. What model year do you have? My girlfriends dad owns an advertising firm and he may have an image that would be useful to you. Is it the current model or the previous?

LIK, thats exactly what I had in mind !! thank you .... as far as the e-class image, it would be easier to buy and s-class than to find the right image that is similar to the rest.

I think that the gray looks fine. But there is a lot of it. You may want to think about making the background (on either side of the main body) white.
Also, you advertise having the Mercedes E-Class but have a pic of the S-Class, may want to change the pic to an E. Providing insurance to the transportation industry since 1884. Phil T. Brun Kiely, Hines & Associates Insurance 800-295-1897 Ext. 2756 502-569-2756 Direct pbrun@kielyhines.com |
