Hey all:

My new website is on-line! www.goodwillguy.com

I am very interested in knowing what you all think of it, what you like or dislike and, of course, value all of your suggestions. I will note that I will be changing my picture to a professional studio shot shortly.

I want to do a FAQ page on the industry. If there is anything any of you do NOT recall finding here on the forum, please let me know. It’s easy enough to recall the frequently asked newbie questions. I am looking for the ones that don’t get asked, or answered here. Please let me know your thoughts. I’d like to bring as much value as possible to the site.

Over time, I want to add an industry resource page as well with links to other industry venders. I want this to be as broad as possible. Please let me know if there is something specific that was challenging to find the first time you looked and where you found it.

Thanks in advance!

In your disclaimer section add in a picture of the vast Ponchatoula, Louisiana Strawberry Fields and the following wording : " For those of you beyond help, the fields beckon ."

Hyper text indeed! Wow!

I’ll be sending that info off to the tech guys for sure. Thanks for the input.

I’m not too worried about the address; anyone who does business with me has it. I try to make more friends than enemies. I guess there are nuts out there though, so I will have the guys close it up and will thank you to edit it out of your post.

Hey, Fred, how did that DUI question work out? I recall you asking about it a while back. I was able to get around it once for a guy that had been a chauffeur for over ten years. He was also musician and had been playing in bars every weekend since 1963. It was his first DUI offence. In fact, it was his first ever ticket. He blew a .09 in a .08 state. The insurance company put him on probation for a year, any violation. This was a few years ago and he is still enjoying life as a Professional Chauffeur.

Oh, and please don’t come paper my house. My wife hates that. She’s a red headed Texan and a much better shot than I’ll ever be. Wink

Be well and thanks for the feedback!

cheers

I like the website!

The only thing I would say is, the website is not valid HTML 4.01 transitional because it has two programming errors, as marked by the W3C markup validator. This will hurt your search engine rankings. You can ignore this if you are not aiming for google and yahoo results.

Below are the results of attempting to parse this document with an SGML parser.

1. Error Line 36 column 107: there is no attribute "HEIGHT".

...lign="center" bgcolor="white" height="142">

You have used the attribute named above in your document, but the document type you are using does not support that attribute for this element. This error is often caused by incorrect use of the "Strict" document type with a document that uses frames (e.g. you must use the "Transitional" document type to get the "target" attribute), or by using vendor proprietary extensions such as "marginheight" (this is usually fixed by using CSS to achieve the desired effect instead).

This error may also result if the element itself is not supported in the document type you are using, as an undefined element will have no supported attributes; in this case, see the element-undefined error message for further information.

How to fix: check the spelling and case of the element and attribute, (Remember XHTML is all lower-case) and/or check that they are both allowed in the chosen document type, and/or use CSS instead of this attribute. If you received this error when using the <embed> element to incorporate flash media in a Web page, see the FAQ item on valid flash.

2. Error Line 121 column 16: there is no attribute "HEIGHT".

<tr height="25">

Also, your registration information is public for anyone to view - i don't know if you care or not but I always hide mine -
