Tony and Luff, where do we stand with our commercial? Who has paid? Those of you who said this was important and have not paid yet need to be called on the carpet.

Got Limos?
For anyone interested, the December, 2004 issue of GQ contains that publications 2004 Overrated List. Number 83 is "Limos," and the article includes a limousine among several pictures of things selected from the list. Shades of Madonna saying that white limos are "tacky." Is something blowing in the wind here? It sure would take a lot of airings of the "Got Limos" advertisements to overcome a pronouncement like this. |

The bottom line to all of this is that the NLA should have snatched this up in a heartbeat, offered to fund it, manage it and actually do something for the membership that would undoubtedly have created an image in the general public mind. Think...."Got Milk" by the Dairy Council. Think, "California, it's the cheese" or "Beef, it's what's for dinner" that were all phrases made up by associations which represented their respective groups. It was a no brainer in my opinion that would have helped the industry greatly.

Tony-
I would like to see this project move forward, but if there are only five or six willing to contribute, it seems that the account should be disbanded so everyone can move on with other opportunities. It is a real disappointment that this did not generate the participation it deserves. Maybe it will sometime in the future. Thank you to you and Jim Luff for doing so much of the leg work! I wish it had turned out differently. quote: |

Matt definately did and does want to do the commercial.
However, two of the three people that hold the purse strings at my company do not. I discussed this with Tony, Jim and Dean at the show and offered my regrets. quote: Matt Harrison AAA Guaranteed On-Time Limousine, Clinton NJ |

Tony do we have enough money to start the commercial if you factor in you and Luff's money? Where is Matt? He said he definitely wanted in on the commercial.
