Cory (Who?) Rozen, NLA Director:

I WOULD LIKE TO STATE THAT MY TERM ON THE BOARD HAS BEEN A GOOD EXPERIENCE. I HAVE BEEN THE TREASURER FOR TWO TERMS IN THAT PERIOD OF TIME THE NLA HAS HAD IT'S VERY FIRST BUDGET AND HAS POSTED IT'S BIGGEST FINANCIAL GAINS. I HAVE ALSO BEEN CHAIRMAN OF THE LEGILATIVE COMMITTEE FOR TWO TERMS AND I FEEL I HAVE BEEN VERY INSTRUMENTAL FOR HIRING OUR LOBBYST MAYBE NOT THE CHOICE OF MOST BUT HE HAS DONE A FANTATSTIC JOB OF GETTING THE NLA RCOGNIZED ON THE HILL.I HAVE ALSO WORK VERY HARD TO STRENGHTEN OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE ITLA I AM NOW AMEMBER OF THE ITLA. I HAVE WORKED VERY QUIETLY BEHIND THE SCENES TO FIANALLY SETTLE THEPINNACLE ISSUE. AND IAM A STRONG SUPPORTER OF MR.CIRRUZZO. I HAVE ALSO MADE MANY TRIPS TO WASHINGTON ON MY OWN DIME AND HAVE LEARNED THE SLOW AND PAINFULL RULES OF POLITICS.I AM NOT USED TO HAVING TO DEFEND MYSELF BUT THI IS PART OF THE RULES OF POLITICS.I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE ANOTHER TERM BECAUSE THERE ARE MANY ISSUES THAT I FEEL THAT NEED TO BE CORRECTED AND I WANT TO THANK JIM FOR POINTING THEM OUT A LOT OF THEM WERE MY CONCERNS EVEN BEFORE ALL OF THIS WAS STARTED BUT ROME WASN'T BUILT IN ADAY THIS IS A VOLUNTEER JOB I LOVE THIS INDUSTRY I AM PROUD TO BE A LEADER IN THIS INDUSTRY AND I AM PROUD THAT I'VE HAD A HAND IN ADDING LEGITAMCY TO IT. THANK YOU CORY ROZEN

Scott Solombrino, December 29, 2000:

To all NLA members! This election is not about the petty politics its about our way of doing business in the future. Focus on the problems at hand, open up the board so people can get better information on their association, move back to Washington where all the decisions are being made on our future, and stop infighting over the past. We need to unite to fight the regulators and other industries that want to make our life more difficult. We need unity and some very smart leaders to fight for our indusrty. The more I read the more I am wondering why I am even bothering. I dont need anyone to lobby for me in washington I will get done on my own but I have made the choice to work through the NLA but it is very scary on how divided this whole group has become. People better wake up and deal in reality real soon or nothing will be able to save us from the storm that brewing. Unity is the key and if you want unity and no nonsense then vote for SCOTT SOLOMBRINO and we will get down to real business not just talk!

His platform!

Scott Solombrino, December 30, 2000, replying to Joey Cirruzzo who was supporting Solombrino's candidacy for NLA director:

Hey Joe: The NLA should give you the man of the year award for saving them a couple of hundred thousand in legal fees. If there were ever a case of discrimination that was it. I give you credit for doing the right thing and I can assure you that next time around it wont be the same. Even if I dont get elected!! That was an injustice and it was so unprofessional! The board needs to wake up and realize that it is supposed to be inclusive not exclusive. Bring people togather dont discard them> this is a non paying position> People who want to help should be commended not ridiculed. Disgracful behavior!! Shame on them> Unity is the future. " We must hang togather for we will surely hang alone" Ben Franklin.

Inclusive, not exclusive? Suddenly you can not be an NLA director if you are a director of another national association (read as "TLPA" and "Joey Cirruzzo")
