Note to self:

Add "no frigging chewing gum in the limos" clause to contract.

I swear, kids are worse than drunken bachelor parties.

I know one client that is sure as sh*t getting his credit card charged $300 for excessive mess, including gum, in, on, all over the cabin.

What kind of dumbass lets his kids act like that???

On an up note, 07/07/07, man everyone’s limos were on the street in my area today. Everybody wanted to get married on the lucky 7's.

Jim, I did almost the same thing. I quick froze the gum by spraying it with a compressed air keyboard cleaner canister. Just flip the can upside down and spray, viola, instant freeze, plus no melted ice.

The gum there chipped right off. A suede brush works great for those types of carpet messes by the way.

If it were just that, I would have forgiven it as an accident, but the wads of gum stuck to the divider and on the mirrored ceiling went way above and beyond.

The contract says $300, but I only hit him for $100. He didn't even complain when notified, in fact he apologized.

Salicete had that problem too a few years ago, just used some ice cubes, gum came right off. Somtimes they don't realize they have gum on their shoes and pick it up outside the vehicle somewhere. Needless to say we tried the ice cube trick and it works great! We didn't even feel the need to charge the excessive cleanup fee.
