I went out front only to find this in my front yard. Thank goodness it was just coming down, and going away from my property.

The second pic is the best one; too bad all I had was a camera-phone, and not a quality digital cam.

Here in Louisville this year, we had a heat wave in Feb., tornados in Feb., and two blizzards in March, an earthquake (of course I can't talk about that to the West Coast people, its a normal day if there is an earthquake) and as much rain in the first four months as all of last year.

I tell you though, I wouldn't want to put up with wild fires, of course you usually have more time to get your stuff out than with a twister.

Scary stuff. Like Nightout said, theres no tornadoes out here in Cali. But from my typhoon experiences in Guam, I feel for you.

Tornado?.. Tornado?.. Oh yeah, that's one of those spinny, windy, blowy, V-shaped things that tosses everything around. Haven't seen one of those here in CA. Of course that's because we can't see through all the smoke from the wildfires lately.

This has been a crazy year for tornados. I was in Atlanta for the round they had in March and that was the most surreal experience driving in the Downtown of a large metropolitan area with no traffic lights, every building that was a high-rise had windows blown out of it (the CNN building had one wall of windows completely gone).

And my home state of Iowa has been hit hard as well as the rest of the west.

Whens the last time your area had a tornado Sal?
