Suggestions as to how a newbie attending alone can handle being in 2 places at once. The schedule presents several worthwhile events at the same time.

The Show Events Coordinator suggested:
"Some people bring partners to the show and then share the information they obtain in the seminars and workshops. Also some of the speakers provide transcripts to there seminars for those who cannot make it. This is not mandatory on our end for them to provide to us. It is done as a courtesy. We will be happy to provide you with any transcript we receive. Another alternative is to conference hop from one seminar to another after you feel you have obtained the key information you are seeking.

I do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you."

I have responded:
As far-fetched as this may seem, there are devices available which will actually record speaker’s voices which can then be put on tape, cd’s and dvd’s.

Seriously, you could increase the revenue stream (and satisfy a lot of attendees ) by recording the seminars & workshops, put them on disc, add a processing fee and sell them after the show.

The positives achieved by doing this:
Increase revenue stream for the show,
Help attendees increase their expertise,
Increase future attendance by giving non-attendees a peek at the additional show benefits,
Increase prestige of the speakers thru greater dessemination of their knowledge & expertise.

Seems like a no-brainer to me.

Additionally, assisted listening devices at hotels are necessary for hearing impaired individuals according to the ADA. I’m sure the host hotel will want to be in compliance for your seminars.

The video tape of the first Show is a real eye-opener. Many of today's veterans look like teenagers !

You are not out of line at all and she should have told you that every single seminar IS and has been taped for years. The tapes are available for purchase at the show before you ever leave the hotel. Hope this solves your problem. Please post your hotel info/arrival and departure on the other Vegas thread so I can keep you updated on when/where forum members are meeting.
