Deano,
You are long overdue for the award. I proudly announce that my good friend, Dean Schuler has been named Operator of the Year by Limousine Digest Magazine. This is an accomplishment in itself but an even bigger one for Dean. I suspect as a writer for Digest, it has been hard for Digest to award Dean what he so rightfully deserves for the appearance of favoritism for "one of their own". As a writer for LCT, I too face the same dilemma. I would almost be embarrassed to have my magazine name me over my many deserving colleagues. However, Dean has defied the odds. He has succeeded in New Orleans where many limo companies vanished and never came back. This very weekend, Dean is handling over 100 moves every single day. When Katrina arrived, Dean had a plan. He had all his computers ready to go. He mobilized his office and his staff and headed off to Houston. A day later, he was up and running out of a hotel room. He immediately obtained a FEMA contract and work continued for both Dean and his employees. When the storm passed, Dean moved his office and crew back home and continued his operations. He has been very instrumental in helping to rebuild the and improve the economy. The convention business is beginning to return to New Orleans and it appears Dean has been there waiting for his familiar clients to return to the area he serves. Dean has fought for good positive things in the industry since I was in high school and I am a grandparent today! He continues to have his hand on the pulse of the industry decade after decade! You are an inspiration to many, a guiding light for more and I have always considered you my own personal mentor. Congratulations, Dean, on being named operator of the year! Your friend, Jim Luff |

Thank you for all the kind words. I strive to remember each day that a service is only as good as its last job and that teamwork is the key to business success. When I accepted the award I made sure to credit my veteran management staff and chauffeurs.
