I'm about to start up a limo co. Right now I only have a Town Car L series limo. What should I have on the check list for the drivers to do before and after a rental?

Also Jim In NY Posted this outline he was planning on using albeit for a limo:

Present? Complete? Functional?

BRAKES: Will the emergency brake hold?

WINDSHIELD WIPERS: Both wipers present and in good condition? Rear if applicable.

WINDSHIELD: Free from cracks that impair vision?

TIRES: At least 1mm of tread over the entire traction surface? Penny: If you can see the top of Lincoln’s head, not enough TREAD! Inflation?

EXHAUST SYSTEM:
Free of leaks? Excessive noise or smoke coming from exhaust?

REAR VIEW MIRROR:
Serviceable? Side mirrors if applicable?

DOORS AND GLASS:
Open and close freely? Cracked glass?

FUEL TANK:
Free from leaks? Gas cap missing?

SEAT BELTS:
One for each seating position, serviceable?

ALL FLUIDS: Fluids filled to correct level?
(OIL / TRANSMISSION / STEERING / CLUTCH / BRAKES /COOLANT/ WINDSHIELD WASHER)

MAIN/PAX CONTROL PANEL:
Functional? Divider? Radio? TV? Rope Lights? Neon? Fiber Optics? Bar Lights? Reading Lights?

AIR CONDITIONING/HEAT
Front? Passenger Cabin?

Hey cran welcome to the forum!

I will give it a shot from memory:

Pre trip Mechanicals:
Oil level, Air pressure in tires, engine belt, other fluids visual inspections in reservoirs.
Brakes, and steering for feel.
Spare tire (presence and pressure),jumper cables, fire extinguisher, all seat belts accessible

Pre and post Inspections:
Mileage start and end (engine hours also if you have that or use it)
Rims for damage and cracks
Tires for damage and tread life
Body for scratches and dings
Seats for rips or burns
Windshield for damage
Personal items left by client in back seat & trunk.

Pre Supplies:
Airport signs, gas card, phone, phone charger, registration, proof of insurance, permit to operate, trip sheet (waybill)

limos: remotes, glasses (check for sharp nicks also), corkscrew.
