Hello every one workin hard its been awhile since I've posted anything, but I hope everyone has been prosperous and well. I had one question right now but more to follow. I'm driving a town car now and I had a nice offer on a 05" Chrysler 300C Hemi with 50,000 miles and after putting it on the road for a while I wanted to upgrade and give it some room in the back. May mean issue is the gas. Should I stick to a 5.6 or lower? what do you think? thanks

I have 3 chrysler 300s all touring series which are v6's which get more horsepower than the LTC and better gas milage. 2 of them are limos. I have had very minimal problems with them and get to charge more money per hour than the LTCs.

Interesting, several friends have told me the 300's are crap. I was dead set on getting one and everybody talked me out of it and I bought a 2007 Cadillac DTS(which I love). But it seems that all the guys here are happy with their 300's. I think they look great, get good gas mileage, and save you cash on the purchase. Anybody out there with some bad experience with their 300?

I've got a 2006 Chrysler 300 Signature (6-Cyl) that, despite some initial insurance issues--

a less than ethical agent that tried to rape us on rates, 15K a year for 1 car,

--is now providing good service, and people seem to really like it. We had an electrical issue early on, but it was quickly addressed by Chrysler.

Now that we are getting really good insurance rates, per car, these really do compare well to the LTC.

My main complaint is that the factory navigation is kind of a pain to set, and backing up can be dicey due to poor sight lines out the rear glass.

Limo Bill - I'm assuming that your statement is based on facts and personal experience with these cars. I have 5 Chrysler 300(2006 models) sedans in our fleet. Collectively they have about 700,000 miles on them. I have had no mechanical failures at all and in fact they have been great cars. The only thing I find to be subpar is the control panel lights. They do burn out quick and are not replace-able.( you have to buy the whole control panel)

Chrysler tends to not release parts to the Murrays/Auto stores of the world , so you do have to get most things from the dealers.

I would also like a larger trunk , but the pass through is great and something Lincoln should consider. Many of my clients take skis , golf clubs , and even long guns. Bikes that are boxed for travel and iron man competitions also fit in perfect with the rear seat folded down.

I have Lincoln L cars (2007) that have needed both headlights replaced already , so no car is perfect.

The 300 is a better drivers car and the LTC is a better car to be driven in.

I also get 26 + mpg in my 300's - wish my LTC's did the same.

300 sedan is about $ 26,000 loaded - L car about $ 40,000. Many things to consider when evaluating your costs and client base.

Most important thing to remember is that this is about the SERVICE , not the car. My first sedan was a used 1999 Chrysler Concorde. It never lost me a single client. In fact that car is now owned by my brother and it has about 300,000 miles on it and yet to have a major mechanical failure.

It's very simple - be on time in a clean car and have chauffeurs that know what they are doing and where they are going.
