To be honest with you, i cannot see how he managed to do it, its a bit obvious the bollard.

Trouble with London is there is always someone right behind you, beeping the horn, my guess is he panicked and the rest is history ...

I feel bad for the poor guy, the embarrassment, humiliation.. I know turning tight corners, small streets can be VERY difficult to maneuver, just trying to figure out how he didn't clear that small post and wound up on top of it.. Couldn't he feel the small bump before his vehicle started rising?

That cant be a good situation for UK operators right when they are trying to figure out regulation for these cars!

We are just as mystified how he managed it Big Grin

In regard to regulations, as you may know we can carry only 8 in our Limousines, this has all been sorted now and as of Jan 28 2008, all Limousines must be licensed either through local authority or through Vosa, and the chauffeurs must be licensed too with local authority but not Vosa, so whilst there is a system in place now, its anything but ideal, but atleast the cars are checked regular by governing body for safety.

Over 8s run on seperate process, which would take a day to explain.

Steve, a bollard is what we would ordinarily just call a post or pole. Think of the park or the beach: you'll often find a waist-high post (or pole) to keep cars off pedestrian walks, bike paths, etc. Another example would be at most gas stations where a bollard protects the ends of a fuel island.

Looks like a payroll deduction to me.

How on Earth did he get up the momentum to get the car up onto that post on such a tight street????

I've learned not to cast stones at the misfortunes of other drivers as Karma has a way of making you pay for your arrogance in the long run... Wink
