As a very young Chauffeur I was sent to the airport to pick up Mr Jones. A/D for five days, that was a good deal.
I duly met Mr. Jones recognised him from his photograph that I had seen and asked if he had a good flight, collected his baggage and took him out to the car.
I had gone about 16 miles towards town when he asked me how I knew where he was staying, I told him his travel agent had told us. He said he didnt book through a travel agent.
I asked him if he was Mr Dan Jones and he said no.
I nearly died until he told me that he was Mr Dudley Jones and Dan was his identical twin brother.
He thought it was highly amusing that we had to go back to the airport to change bodies.

Lesson learned check, check and double check.

Bill T. a retired NYC Cop & warmest gent one would meet

AM AP run
Driving down the street looking at house numbers
Sees a gent standing in the driveway with baggage
Bill pulls up, throws the bags in the trunk & heads off to JFK
Gets to the terminal, unloads bags & goes to collect
Passenger starts arguing over the price with Bill saying it's higher then quoted
After going back-n-forth, Bill finally addresses the man by his name, "I'm sorry Mr Smith, but the invoice is for $XX & that is what I must collect"
The gent replies, "I'm not Mr Smith, I'm Mr Jones"

Bill was only 2 doors off with the pick-up location
