Even though we have one of the largest livery markets in the country, the DFW area is in desperate need of a truely organized assocation. Our old association has vanished into thin air.

Anyone interested in helping to re-establish a strong presence in the Dallas/Fort Worth is invited to email me at tim@dcclimo.com - make sure to include any ideas, suggestions, or even complaints.

I'm curious to know if you had any success in starting the association in Austin?

We don't have associations here. I will drive to Dallas when you all have a meeting.

Call Linda Moore, Publisher of Limousine Digest at 1-609-953-4900 ex. 221 or e-mail her at lmoore@limodigest.com. She is quite effective at working with associations, or, if needed-setting up new ones.

We're still working on it.. there's quite a bit of apathy to overcome but I'm confident things will get moving before the end of the year. Our current (so called) association has been releasing press releases without the members knowledge/permission. Funny how all that works. Any recommendations?

Thank you, Dean.. as soon as we are organized here, either in rebuilding our old association or creating a new one, we will definitely try and get you here.

Thanks again!

I spoke to Linda Moore and we will definitely come. I will try to bring at least one of the Limousine Industry Council members as well-Dallas is far away for the great majority of them. If not, I promise you that I will hook you up via e-mail with a few of the Directors of the veterans of the Industry that make up the Council. They, not the magazines or the NLA, or any other Trade Association rule in our Profession.

Dean, thank you! You can count on us contacting you as soon as we have something organized. The response to my post from outside the DFW area has been absolutely amazing!

Michael,

Thanks a bunch! I've already started receiving emails from people. I'll let you know if there's enough interest for a forum.

Tim

I can create a separate Forum for you here if you create enough interest. "Dallas Livery Association" or whatever you call it. Let me know if you generate the interest and I will make the public Forum for you to gather/exchange thoughts.

Cheers
Michael
